Nightingale is a survival-crafting game developed by Inflexion Games, the studio founded by Aaryn Flynn, the former general manager of BioWare who oversaw beloved RPGs including Mass Effect and Dragon Age. The game entered Steam Early Access on February 22, 2024, casting players as "Realmwalkers" who must survive and build across dangerous magical realms rooted in a Victorian gaslamp fantasy setting. The central lore involves humanity seeking refuge in the Fae Realms after a deadly plague devastated civilization in the late 19th century.

Flynn and his team crafted Nightingale to blend deep survival and crafting mechanics with a richly realized narrative world. Following the Early Access launch, the game received its major "Realms Rebuilt" update in September 2024, which overhauled core systems, added new story content, and addressed player feedback on progression and exploration.
